The Tesla Matt:e Single-Phase EV Monitoring & PEN Fault Protection Unit (SP-EVCP-T-W) is a dedicated, fully compliant connection centre engineered to safely link a single 32A electric vehicle charge point directly to an existing domestic PME earthing system. Powered by proprietary built-in matt:e technology, this intelligent unit continuously monitors the incoming supply voltage and automatically disconnects all poles—including the circuit protective conductor (CPC)—the moment an open PEN conductor fault is detected, safeguarding users and equipment from dangerous voltage transfer.
Engineered to streamline EV charger installations and meet strict BS 7671 18th Edition wiring regulations, the unit completely removes the need for separate earth electrodes, measuring rods, or disruptive groundworks. By eliminating the requirement to drive earth rods into the ground, installers significantly cut down on labor time and project costs while entirely removing the hazardous risk of striking buried underground utility services.
Constructed for long-term residential reliability, the SP-EVCP-T-W is housed in a robust, powder-coated mild steel IP2X enclosure featuring an intuitive wire-in, wire-out terminal layout for quick, hassle-free commissioning. For properties requiring enhanced electrical control, the unit also supports optional hard-wired CT load management, allowing dynamic monitoring and protection against domestic power overload.
