The Matt:e SP-EVCP-T Single-Phase EV Connection Centre is a dedicated, fully compliant monitoring and protection unit engineered to safely connect a single 32A electric vehicle charge point directly to an existing domestic PME earthing system. Powered by proprietary built-in matt:e technology, the unit continuously monitors the incoming supply voltage. It automatically disconnects all poles—including the circuit protective conductor (CPC)—if an open PEN conductor fault occurs, protecting both users and connected equipment from hazardous touch voltages.

Engineered to streamline EV charger installations and comply with BS 7671 Section 722 regulations, this unit removes the need for separate earth electrodes, ground measuring rods, or disruptive trenching. By eliminating the requirement to install earth rods into the ground, electricians significantly reduce labour time, project costs, and the serious safety risk of striking buried underground utility services during installation.
