The Matt:e SP-EVCP-R Single-Phase EV Connection Centre is a dedicated, fully compliant monitoring and protection unit engineered to safely link a single 32A electric vehicle charge point directly to an existing domestic PME earthing system. Featuring a built-in 32A double-pole Type A Curve C RCBO, the unit provides comprehensive circuit protection against overloads, short circuits, and residual current faults, delivering complete safety and compliance directly out of the box without requiring separate upstream RCD devices.

Powered by proprietary matt:e detection technology, the unit continuously monitors the incoming supply voltage and automatically isolates all poles—including the circuit protective conductor (CPC)—if an open PEN conductor fault occurs. This active protection facilitates strict compliance with BS 7671 wiring regulations while completely eliminating the need for independent earth electrodes or ground measuring rods. Installers save substantial labour time and project costs by avoiding disruptive groundwork and completely eliminating the hazardous risk of striking buried underground utilities.
