WCED 8-Module IP65 PME Fault Detection Unit – 40A C-Curve MCB

The WCED WPKPME08/C40 is a weatherproof ip65 8-module EV distribution board with built-in PME fault detection. It continuously monitors the supply voltage and, if a PME (PEN) fault is detected, completely disconnects live, neutral and earth from the vehicle. Protection is provided by a 40A C-curve MCB.

Because the unit isolates the earth on a PME fault, no earth rod is needed, saving installation time and cost. It is designed for EV chargers that have integral DC leakage protection but no PME fault detection, and its IP65 enclosure makes it suited to external wall mounting next to the charge point. It must be installed in accordance with BS 7671.
