WCED 8-Module Metal PME Fault Detection Unit – 40A C-Curve RCBO & Surge Protection

The WCED WMEPME08/SP is a metal 8-module EV distribution board with built-in PME fault detection. It continuously monitors the supply voltage and, if a PME (PEN) fault is detected, completely disconnects live, neutral and earth from the vehicle. A 40A C-curve RCBO, together with integrated surge protection, provides protection.

Because the unit isolates the earth on a PME fault, no earth rod is needed, saving installation time and cost. It is designed for EV chargers with integral DC leakage protection but no PME fault detection, and its IP40 enclosure suits indoor installations such as garages and utility areas. It must be installed in accordance with BS 7671.
